According to Chinese customs data, the imports of chilled salmon (Atlantic salmon) in March and April of 2021 were 4,900 tons and 4,700 tons, respectively, a decrease of 15, 17% from the same period in 2019. According to feedback from large distributors, the current market demand has returned to the level of 70-80% before the epidemic, while the cost of imported salmon continues to rise, and retail pressure appears to be increasing.
